Alderman Reilly also allocated a portion of the Aldermanic Menu to fund several resurfacingprojects in River North. Erie Street from Kingsbury Street to Larrabee Street, and Ontario Street from Kingsbury Street to Orleans Street were recently resurfaced. The project required the removal of concrete and pavement; adjustment of catch basins, manholes, water valves and inlets; resurfacing; and the installation of new pavement markings.
The Chicago Department of Transportation also improved the street lighting on Ontario Street, from Kingsbury to Orleans. The light fixtures were upgraded and the light poles on Ontario were repainted, using a durable black resin-based paint.
