Project Description
The Tribune Tower East project is a part of a greater planned development that includes the renovation of the existing Chicago landmark. The Tower will be the second tallest skyscraper in the City and has the potential to transform this important stretch of Michigan Avenue. Tribune Tower East will stand at approximately 1,442′ tall and be a mixed-use building, including retail and commercial uses along with 200 hotel keys and 564 dwelling units. This project will have 162 for sale condominium units in the historic building. The developer has also agreed to: redesign Pioneer Court by the addition of a new public pathway connecting Michigan Avenue and Cityfront Plaza; significantly increase the amount of proposed open green space – including the addition of numerous grassy berms and active lawn spaces; add mature trees, new accessible outdoor seating, raised planter bed systems, a unified granite paving system, and enhanced lighting to improve safety.
