Project Description
The development team plans to build 400 hotel rooms within Union Station, build an office tower and public park on the parcel bounded by Clinton, Van Buren and Canal Streets, and the CTA Bus Depot. Alderman Reilly negotiated drastic changes to the Union Station development proposal, including the elimination of the residential component on top of the Union Station headhouse, and the addition of 62,000 square feet of public green space. The developer will also enter into a 10-year agreement with the City to jointly fund three traffic enforcement aides and two parking enforcement officers during peak morning and evening rush hours around Union Station.
